Every third Tuesday of each month The Front Climbing Gym hosts a member meetup on the 3rd floor at Rumsy’s for their members! They host an expert from the local community or outdoor industry to learn about a breadth of topics such as crag ethics, training for climbing, backcountry skiing, meditation, etc.
Come on up for free chips and salsa, $2 beers and tacos and an awesome group of people to learn something new! This month Pattern Breakers will be hosting the meetup. We will be discussing the idea of flow. What is flow? Have you ever been climbing and time seems to have slowed down or speed up? Have you been in a yoga class and your thoughts are clear and your mind, body and breath are all synced up? This is the state of consciousness known as flow. Flow is being in the zone, being fully immersed in the action or activity you are involved in, obtaining full enjoyment in the activity being performed, time can speed up or slow down, becoming fully present in the moment. Tapping into flow sounds easy but sometimes can be hard to obtain. Explore how recognizing and changing your daily patterns can allow you to tap into flow in all of your activities. When: March 17 // 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Cost: Free for members. Guests welcome with a day pass. The Front 1470 South 400 West SLC, UT 84115 We hope to see you all there!
