Hello! Welcome to the website for the book Pattern Breakers; create healthy patterns, maintain boundaries, and cultivate empathy in the workplace and beyond. My name is Daniel Hill and I am the author of the book and the founder of the Pattern Breaker Project.
Two years ago, I had an idea, I wanted to create workshops to assist hairstylists when working one on one with their clients. I wanted to create a conversation about creating boundaries within our workplace and tools on navigating through difficult conversations. I wanted to create ways to cultivate more empathy with our clientele while also establishing healthy boundaries to insure we are taking care of our own needs. As people in the service industry I felt there was a need for this information,I began my research and committed to create these workshops. As I dived into this rabbit hole, I was finding all the information I needed, but there was so much more content than I was expecting. Too much information to cram into a workshop, so I decided to write about book about it. The book isn’t a text to be powered through in an afternoon, it is a workbook intended to be worked through at a methodical pace. At the beginning of the book you will explore your values, your career, and the daily patterns you hold. As you continue forward you will look at your values, patterns, fears, and begin to create your boundaries. Having boundaries will help create your desired workplace and assist in elevating your career and the relationships you hold. The book is a great tool with resources to help support your life in the customer service industry. However, it does not stop there! I created the My Pattern Breaker website to help assist you in your path of reprogramming your patterns and thoughts. We are creating content from videos, audio recordings, and this blog to help continue a life of being a Pattern Breaker. But what is a Pattern Breaker? A Pattern Breaker is an individual who commits to continuing to learn and grow by exploring and reshaping their patterns, boundaries, self-care system, and empathic skills. Life takes us in different places and is constantly changing. If our patterns, values, and skills don’t continue to change than what are we doing? We get stuck in out habits, which can create burn-out, depression, and fatigue. A Pattern Breaker commits to continue to push past fears, and play and explore in their careers and beyond!
